This training was part of a mission to help produce a climbing partner, since I had been missing a like minded climbing partner.  This trip was to train three friends who were interested. This training was held at the Malangudi and Yazghail glaciers in the extreme Karakorum.

Extreme Adventure: PYO Training Part I - Basic mountaineering, outdoor education, & women’s adventure promotion program; training for different Shimshal school children on the Malangudi Glacier - Dec 2010.

Extreme Adventure - Chaskin Sar Expedition, 2010: Samina Baig, the first Pakistani female mountaineer to climb any unclimbed peak in the Karakorum range.

Pakistan Youth Outreach in association with Karakorum Expeditions organized the Gender Equality Expedition in June 2011 to tackle an unclimbed , unnamed peak. According to Samna Baig´s mission to support gender equality in Pakistan, the mountain was named Kohi Brobar (Mt. Equality) after the successful first ascent.

Our short film for Gender Equality which was aired on 13 main stream TV channels and a total of 17 air times in Pakistan.  We hope to produce a similar documentary this summer for Gender Equity as we continue trying to empower women through adventure and to educate youth.
