Pakistan Youth Outreach & Satwa Guna Project Romania, with collaboration of the Romanian Embassy in Islamabad, organized an exhibition on the occasion of Romania National Day, 30 Nov 2010, at the Marriott hotel Islamabad. Mr. Mirza Ali, president of Pakistan Youth Outreach (PYO), arranged an exhibition about the first project of PYO & Satwa Guna, of the making of a documentary on Pakistani woman adventure in the Karakorum Shimshal Hunza for National Geographic Channel and GeoTV Pakistan. A large number of diplomats and Pakistani ministers attended the ceremony. Mr. Makhdoom Amin Fahim, Minister for Trade, was chief guest for the occasion.

Participants visited the PYO & Satwa Guna exhibition and lauded the efforts being carried out by PYO to promote youth outdoor activities, mountaineering education, and to particularly appreciate Pakistani women in mountain adventure.

On this occasion, Mr. Mirza Ali, the president of PYO, briefed the guests about PYO’s projects, promotion of mountain adventure, and highlighted the potential adventure areas of Gilgit-Baltistan-Pakistan. The guests were also briefed regarding the first Pakistani women winter expedition in Hunza, Shimshal organized by PYO.

The party started at 7 PM local time and ended at 10 PM. The Ambassador of Romania, Mr. Emilian Ion, thanked Mr. Mirza Ali for making the evening colorful with photographs of Shimshal-Hunza.

The expedition kicked off on 1 December 2010.
